A famous scholar

"Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited whereas imagination embraces the entire world."
-Albert Einstein, inscription on bust at Princeton Borough Hall

Einstein moved to Princeton in 1933 and resided on Mercer Street until his death in 1955. The first thing he apparently did in Princeton? Buy an ice cream cone. (I'd shown his house here.)

Unmistakably him. The quote is excellent though I think both are necessary.

Lovely quote, and a very striking sculpture! I'm trying to instill creativity and imagination into my English students :)

Buy an ice cream cone..? Now we're talking', even great minds need the good things in life haha! I love the rough texture of this sculpture Lulu, it's 'different' like the man himself.

Wonderful quote, but I do think if you have no knowledge your imagination is severely limited. :)

What a fantastic bust. So lifelike, it really has captured him to a tee!

Thanks everyone - I like the bust's likeness too (and the ice cream anecdote), but agree with many of you that imagination and knowledge are both important!

Have always loved that quote! Still find it fascinating how you can pass his old residence any time you want...

You need imagination to take the limits off and use your knowledge to its fullest extent. Great man. Who knew he was an ice cream fan? Good to know.

Great sculpture. I like the expression on his face.

This is a cool bust. I would be trying many different angles if I were there. Then I would get an ice cream cone.

There are a lot of great quotes from Einstein,I like this one too.
I didn't know that he liked icecream. In my mind there is always a picture of him sitting in a sailboat.
